Gus' halves if he was picking the origin team would be Burton and Luai - 6 tackles with Gus. Now that's left field.

Not really, Luai is a halfback, he was a halfback all the way through juniors, he plays like a halfback, he’s only not playing halfback at Penrith because Cleary is, he is leaving Penrith to play halfback, his new team and coach have recruited him to fill the halfback position. Gould knows.

with best out with a hamstring injury it pretty much leaves latrell, staggs, lomax, tago or ramien as the other center options

I'm convinced Edwards has to be NSW fullback. The guys positioning and kick returns was a major factor plus his support up the middle. Edwards, Cleary, To'o and Yeo should be picked.
There's no more impact player in the comp. He always has Penrith starting their sets on the front foot.. best defensive fullback also.

I'd pick latrell without hesitation. How many years did qld pick gagai despite club form and he killed it every time. Latrell has always aimed up at that level

it depends if he makes himself available for origin, there was talk that he didn't want to play.

Especially with all the outs. We might need his x-factor.
