Sending the ball wide was the only time we actually looked dangerous. Personally, we didn’t do it enough…It’s the only way to beat Penrith because they use a condensed defensive line and their speed to cut off the width but the system struggles when the opposition have the amount of speed we do.

Our discipline and ball handling let us down but a top effort away from home, even share possession and maybe it’s a different result… that’s where we’re at, 16-10 away, never giving up and defending at an elite level. Yes we let in a relatively softish try but so did Penrith slipping off Kiraz...

Although he’s an edge forward, he fits the perfect mould for an agile middle in Ciro’s system…this type of signing makes a lot of sense keeping in trend with recent recruitment, it is also consistent with marquee players leveraging our club for a bigger pay day.
