I hope it's shaping to be something like this at least by mid to late season and remember we still have money to spend on a decent middle IF one becomes available. Hopefully Royce Hunt decides to move on when AFB arrives at the Sharks. He's a former Dogs junior too. We'll be much more dangerous with the inclusion of Woods and Oloapu in the 17 and we'll finally have some size bending the line off the bench

No offence man but let's just enjoy the present now that we're finally playing good footy and being competitive before we worry about next years team..

I love Woods but I doubt he'll be ready to start by round 1 next year. O'Neill is way more likely. Hopefully Oloapu makes a healthy return but it's way too early in his rehab to make that call too..

Woods and Oloapu? Woods is way off and Oloapu will have to make his way back from a serious neck injury and won't even play this year. Also Jack Todd is a talent who will push for selection as a middle forward.

Do you even fooball? :tearsofjoy:
First of all our young gun who wont be physically ready next year is Mitchell Woods not Matthew and Jack Todd will be there next year as well.

I think you play too much Super Coach. :tearsofjoy:

Hard to call now but if we finish the season well hopefully we have near the same team next year pending any new signings

Yes sorry did this very early in the morning and wasn't thinking straight. Have fixed up Woods. Woods will be 18 next year same age as Lachlan Galvin is now who'se doing okay at the Tigers hey. Woods is top 30 next year so he'll be playing NSW Cup against men, not lower you would think. If he can handle it against men (which our coaches must have confidence in) he could be capable of pushing into the NRL team by mid to late next season. Either him or O'Neill. I can't see us playing Hutchison for another whole season at 7 in 2025.

Galvin is a much bigger body Woods has alot more growing to do.
He has the skils but he needs a couple good preseason's.

Not saying we will or anything but if we somehow finish up with a terrible record and the wheels fall off. Would he attempt next year with the majority of the same team or continue to change the roster. The utilities so far have all earned a contract extension, do you shove them aside for junior potential or current good form.

We only really need to recruit a prop forward enforcer who can lead some of our young pups as they develop. Assuming one of O’Neill or Woods comes good to play 7 in the next few years. I’m happy with all other positions atm

Not a bad line up, but I think Gus will add another 2 quality middles to this group

Woods is too young.. O'Neill will be starting 7 (I wish they would play him now) altho they should wait until after Round 10 vs Penrith then unleash him Round 11 vs Raiders.. Still no Alpha dog no. 1 Front rower.. until that issue is solved nothing will really change.. Not sure about Royce Hunt.. Trey Mooney is the perfect fit (no 2 front rower), next to King as no elite Middles appear interested in coming to Dogs currently..

why would he come to us? Unless we overpay which is not ideal for NAS at this stage of his career..
Any player with half a brain would love to come to this club. We are on the up and they can be part of a dynasty
