I agree, but when you think where gaps in the NRL squad might be in two years, Woods and Seve look like great fits. It’s why I keep saying the two year deals for the ‘utilities’ this year was no coincidence.

Because we are no longer irresponsible with our cap, 650k for a guy who's yet to establish himself as a first grader is ridiculous. He may one day be worth 650k but that day isn't today and it's a sure fire way to piss off current bulldogs like Preston and Curran who bust their guts week in week out in the top grade for less than that. I think the best selling point for a guy like Mooney isn't the dollar value but the opportunity to become a regular first grader.

Oliva Smith is very promising as is Jack Underhill. I think our junior middles are actually really good
